“Weakness” showing at Uhuru Film Festival, Feb 5-7th, 2010

Our US tour kicks off this coming weekend at Colorado State University, Lory Student Center where acclaimed Kenyan author Ngugi wa Thiong’o will be guest of honor. If you’re in the area, (or near it!) don’t miss out!

    What would it take to organise a decent Film Festival here in Kenya that is all inclusive! I’d like to attend one and see all the Kenyan productions that are out there. I did like your short film though!

      Thank you for the compliment! Festivals take a lot of work, but most importantly there needs to be a good balance of strong local content and strong local interest in order to push the industry forward. There will never be a lack of interest in stories which portray our own human conditions, but that interest has to translate into physical (people paying money to watch or purchase a product) in order for the quality and quantity to get better.
